Getting Married

10795084_sUlverston Parish Church is a lovely setting in which to get married. Being a Church of England church, the clergy are licenced to conduct Christian weddings.

To be married in the church you need either to live close-by (in the geographical parish), be a regular worshipper (on the electoral roll) or have a qualifying connection (eg. baptised in the church, been a regular worshipper in the past or have a close family connection).

If you are planning a reception afterwards, make sure you book the church first.

Our Wedding Co-ordinator will help you with all initial and administrative planning. The person taking the service will liaise with you about the content of the service, will guide you through the service and be praying for you.

We also believe that marriage is about more than just the wedding day, so to help you make the best start to your married life together we offer preparation sessions before hand.

For all initial enquiries – including dates, qualifying connections, costs, etc – please contact the parish office.
